Karin T. Mak (Director/Producer) was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. Her parents are originally from Hong Kong. She fell in love with filmmaking while in the Media Studies program at Pomona College.
For several years, Karin worked at the non-profit organization Sweatshop Watch. In 2008, she earned an M.A. in Social Documentation from the University of California Santa Cruz.
Karin’s films have screened in Hong Kong, New York, Los Angeles, and other cities. Karin currently works with student leaders at Pomona College’s Asian American Resource Center. |
